Byte Night
3rdbase Voluntary and Community Action
Youth homelessness is the chosen 3rdbase charitable theme for this year, an issue close to the heart of 3rdbase staff
who have served on the board of trustees of local homelessness projects in Leicestershire. So this year we have teamed up with Byte Night.
On Friday 3rd October 3rdbase directors Chris and Philip will be out on the street, along with 250 other IT executives, at Byte Night 2008.
By spending a night sleeping rough in Potters Fields by Tower Bridge they will be raising funds for Action for Children (formerly NCH),
the children's charity - who provide much-needed support for some of the 32,000 homeless 16 to 21 year olds in Britain.
As they face a night under stars to raise awareness of youth homelessness and vital funds to support young homeless people, you can help by sponsoring Chris and Philip.
Your support really can change someone's life for the better.
You can donate easily on line now, by clicking the sponsor me button here to take you to our on-line Byte Night Justgiving.com page

You may also make cash donations at the Innovation Centre reception.
Our heartfelt thanks for your support

Byte Night
Byte Night is the IT industry's annual sleep out in support of Action for Children. Each year hundreds of individuals and teams from the technology and IT industries spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children's work.
The event began ten years ago when 30 individuals from the IT industry slept out and raised £35,000. Since then the event has grown to extraordinary heights, attracting 270 sleepers and raising almost £400,000 in 2007 alone.

About Action for Children
Founded in 1869, Action for Children is one of the UK's largest children's charities supporting over 178,000 children, young people and their families. Previously known as NCH, Action for Children changed their name in September 2008 to better reflect the work they do and what they value - action for children.
